(I’m the one who will be checking your teeth, holding back your tongue with a mirror and helping you smile your best smile.)
Even before I became a dentist, I always loved being a part of Sarnia’s tight-knit local community. And it’s that small-town sense of togetherness, friendship and willingness to go the extra mile that I want to bring to my practice.
Sure, I want to make sure that you and your teeth are as healthy as they can be. But, to me, you’re more than just a set of teeth.
That’s why we make sure that when you come to our office, you’re not just coming for a check-up or procedure, you’re stopping by to see friends. (Albeit, a group of friends that know a lot about your teeth…)

Whether you need a quick check-up or a complicated procedure, we’re always here to help. Just pencil yourself into a window that suits you and we’ll call you back to arrange an appointment. It’s as easy as that.
Cancellation Policy:
If your appointment time becomes inconvenient for you, we are always happy to change it if you provide us with one (1) business days’ notice. This allows us to schedule a patient who may be in urgent need of care.
We strive to accommodate the scheduling needs of our patients, and we will make every effort to keep your schedule on time. Failure to provide us with 24 hours advance notice or failure to show up for a scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation/no show fee.

(There’s nothing worse than waiting to see a dentist when you’ve got a
toothache. If you’re in pain, just give us a call and we’ll make sure that we see you as soon as possible.)

Putting the smile back

Going to the dentist can be an intimidating experience for people of all ages.
That’s why we go to every effort to make you feel as
relaxed as possible from the moment you step into
our practice.
But we also know that, sometimes, a friendly smile and
a catch-up isn’t enough to shake off the jitters.
Sometimes, you need your dentist to go the extra mile. You need your dentist to get to know what helps you (and your children) relax so they can prepare the room, tweak the environment and adjust their approach to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
So that’s what we do.
Call us optimistic, but we hope that this way – eventually – everybody will enjoy coming to the dentist.
About Jess and her team
Dr Jess Bourassa is, in many ways, a dentist’s worst nightmare: she loves pop and candy. (But she says that her glowing whites are a testament to her ‘prevention first’ approach.)
Jess graduated from the University of Toronto and headed back to her hometown to practice dentistry. A few years later, she opened her own practice just down the hall from her twin sister, Dr. Vanessa Curran. (This has been more than a little confusing for some of her patients!)
Jess couldn’t be happier with her team, either.
She really couldn’t ask for better hygienists and dental assistants than Kelli, Jennifer, Linda and Laura.

Our office is Northern Family and Cosmetic Dental Centre on the corner of Indian Road and Michigan Road in Sarnia, Ontario. Once you get here, just head down the stairs to the lower level. (Just make sure you head towards the right twin’s office.)
