When she’s not checking teeth, laughing with her team, or sneaking a candy or two, Dr. Jess is also the chair of the Sarnia chapter of Oral Health, Total Health.

Who are Oral Health, Total Health?
Oral Health, Total Health is a Federal Non-Profit Organization with a mission to advocate, educate and improve the oral health care for persons with special needs.
Research has shown that while people with special needs experience higher levels of cavities and other oral diseases, there are a large number of dentists that do not feel comfortable treating them.
Unfortunately, that means they often have to travel for hours out of town just for a quick dental checkup or procedure
Our annual Sharing Smiles Days aim to change that.

Every year, we host a Sharing Smiles Day in Sarnia, bringing together dental professionals, carers and people with special needs for a fun-filled day of games, activities and awareness events.
It is our hope that by bringing everybody together for day of fun and getting to know each other, more dentists will feel comfortable treating special needs patiends from the local area, saving them long trips out to specialist dentists
