Porcelain fillings
Made to match the colour of your teeth, porcelain fillings and restorations aren’t just the most discrete option to fill a cavity, but are also incredibly durable and stain-resistant, too.
Composite resin fillings
Composite resin fillings are tooth-coloured fillings that provide a natural appearance.
Amalgam (silver) fillings
Although we no longer place silver amalgam fillings, we are happy to remove and replace them if you’d prefer a more discrete filling.
Nervous about getting a filling?
We know that getting a filling can be a nerve-wracking experience, whatever your age. That’s why, whether you’re seven or seventy-seven, we’ll always go to great lengths to make sure that you’re calm, comfortable and relaxed. (And, of course, we’ll give you an anaesthetic so that you’re as comfortable as possible.)
If you’re a little nervous about coming in, feel free to give us a call and
we’ll make sure that we do everything we can – from playing your choice of music to turning on our overhead TV – to make you feel at ease.
If you’ve noticed any of the following symptoms, it’s worth stopping in for a check-up:
- Tooth aches (especially throbbing or sharp pains)
- A visible hole in a tooth
- The tooth feels rough, jagged or sharp when you run your tongue over it
- Pain or sensitivity when you put pressure on a tooth (when eating or brushing, for example)
- The floss frays when you floss between two teeth
And remember, if you’re in pain, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’ll do everything we can to fit you in as soon as possible. (We know there’s nothing worse than waiting to see the dentist when you’ve got a toothache!)
